DOGS on ACID

Jade Tree is excited to announce their latest signing, Philadelphia, PA’s Dogs On Acid.  Boasting members from several legendary Philadelphia indie bands from the past five years such as Algernon Cadwallader, Hop Along and Snowing, Dogs on Acid combine the spontaneity of indie rock with the fun of pop to create songs that are as enjoyable as they are catchy, and promise to stick in your head for days.  The band will release their debut LP on Jade Tree this summer, following an earlier 7″ release on Philadelphia’s Ranch Records and a second 7″ due out in February on Asian Man Records. Dogs on Acid will play several East Coast shows over the next few weeks (all tour dates below).

“Jade Tree has had a huge impact on our lives.  We’ve been listening to their releases for half of our lives.  They have helped shape the way we think about a record so it makes sense we’d trust ours in their hands,” explains vocalist Peter Helmis of the band’s decision to sign to Jade Tree.  He continues, “They’re right in our neighborhood now.  It’s a local thing on a large scale.  We appreciate that they put out what they like.  We’re glad they like us.”  The respect is obviously mutual as Tim Owen, co-owner of Jade Tree explains, ” I was blown away the first time I saw Dogs on Acid live. It’s really hard to not stop listening to their music once you have heard or seen them live for the first time. They are great people making amazing music together.”  Stay tuned for more details and tour dates to be announced this spring.
