German emo screamo band MASADA streaming new album “II”!

1 min read

Over 5 years since the release of their debut full length, Germany’s MASADA have shared the full stream of their great new record dubbed “II”. brought to you through a pertnership of several DIY labels: Zegema Beach Records, Icorrupt Records, Pundonor Records, Sad React Records, Longrail Records, and Fireflies Records. 12” vinyl with 10 eclectic, melodic screamo / post hardcore / emo punk tracks will be released in early 2022.

Comments Zegema Beach Records: “The growth, maturity, and general songwriting chops are on full display with versatile screamo that includes clap-along rock interludes, softly sung vocals, as well as the expected/explosive sound the band honed on their 2016 self titled. For fans of Cassus, Congratulations, and Bravo Fucking Bravo. Expertly mixed by Will Killingsworth.”

I.Corrupt Records adds: “Hell yea, this is real: The almost forgotten screamo band Masada is back with a new album! More than six years ago the four lads from Erlangen, Germany, surprised the scene with their debut full-length and their late 90s, early 2000s screamo sound. It may have taken quiet a while, but we’re more than stoked to release the band’s second album today!

On their second album effort, which is simply titled “II”, Masada combine all bits of screamo elements the listeners love about that music: Guitars which can be dissonant and distorted as well as melodic and clean, a heavy and driving bass that makes the music as fluent and groovy as possible, pounding and fast drums. And then there are those arsh screams which turn into beautiful singing vocals. “II” is an exquisit piece of work that is made for all people who’s hearts beat for raw screamo-/post-hardcore-ish music.”

MASADA shared the following message: “this is our second record. our music is meant to be played live. however, things changed in 2020/2021 due to covid-19. we miss playing shows! but still – we played all of this at red audio in herzogenaurach in september 2020.
