Canberra, Australia’s I EXIST have signed with Lost Shepherd/Prosthetic Records.

Official statement:

I Exist has signed a deal with Lost Shepherd/Prosthetic Records for the world outside of Australia. The sludge-infused hardcore act’s second album, entitled “II: The Broken Passage,” which was released via Resist Records down under over the summer, will be released in North America on January 31st, and will share UK and European release dates with their new label mates, Everything Went Black, on February 6th and February 10th, respectively.

The seven-piece band recorded “II: The Broken Passage,” at Melbourne’s Goatsound Studios, with American producer, Billy Anderson, whose production credits include Sleep’s Sleep’s Holy Mountain and Eyehategod’s Dopesick: both hugely influential records for the band, as well as albums for groups as diverse as the Melvins, Jawbreaker, High on Fire, Sick of it All and Acid King. I Exist toured Australia earlier this year with Doomriders and expect to hit North America and Europe in 2012.
