Alternative Press has premiered the music video for PLANET B‘s “Mirror, Mirror, on the World.” Directed by Dark Details, the clip is a cinematic slice of sci-fi/horror fun, starring Planet B members Justin Pearson and Luke Henshaw.

AP editor-in-chief Jason Pettigrew describes the video thusly: “Fans of electroshock therapy, psychological horror movies and neurosurgeons screaming at paranoia’s poison door should delight at director Dark Details’ ability to convey some high-level techno-fear.”

In Planet B, Pearson (known to many as a member of such bands as The Locust, Retox, and Dead Cross, and as the founder of Three One G Records) belts out electrifying vocals over producer Henshaw’s sonic feast of hip-hop, industrial, and film score influences. The sound transcends genres: dark, heavy, urgent, and anthemic, it is equally relevant in the contexts of hardcore punk and hip-hop.

Planet B’s self-titled debut album is out now on Ipecac Recordings and Three One G. Guests on the album include hip-hop pioneer Kool Keith, Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Martin Atkins (ex-PiL, Killing Joke, Ministry, Pigface), Gabe Serbian (The Locust), Sonny Kay (The VSS, Angel Hair), and more.

Alicante, Spain based experimental punk / post hardcore act CEMËNTERI are streaming their recently released EP “Patio de la pitera”, falling midway between 70s/80s punk, FUGAZI style 90s vibe and raw, noisy and organic punk that create hypnotic, almost psychedelic experience. Raleigh-based self-proclaimed dadpunk band, TLE, has released a brand new single, “Tell Her I Said Hello.” The track is the seventh single the band has released this year through Revival Recordings and is also featured on their upcoming full length album, which is slated to release in 2019. Fans can view the accompanying stream video for the single below.

“Tell Her I Said Hello” shows a departure from the band’s usual fun songs about life with kids to touch on a more serious topic: divorce and losing a parent. When discussing the song’s heavy theme, guitarist and back vocalist Nick Onorato stated, “Tell Her I Said Hello approaches a more serious side of parenting, and really anyone’s life. It deals with losing a parent. Shawn and I both come from a home where our parents were divorced during our teenage years and understand those difficulties first hand. On top of the connection to parenting, this song means a lot to us as a band as it was originally a song we wrote back when we were first playing music together in the early 00s.”
