STORMO just released a new single and music video titled “Alte Mura“, captured by photographer Paola Paganotto.
This release comes right before their upcoming two-week European tour.
‘Alte Mura’ marks the band’s first new material since their 2023 album, ‘Endocannibalismo’, and introduces a deeper integration of industrial and noise rock elements into their sound. You can watch the music video and stream the track on platforms like Apple Music, TIDAL, Deezer, Bandcamp, and Spotify.
Luca Rocco, STORMO’s lead vocalist, shared some insights about the track: it was crafted in a brisk nine hours at Cabot Cove, their sound engineer’s studio in Bologna.
The band has incorporated more electronic, synth, and noise components, stripping back their songwriting to a more raw and industrial style, which will be more pronounced in their upcoming projects.
The video features a mix of footage depicting the ceremonial burning of bodies on the Ganges river in Varanasi, India, taken with the consent of the deceased’s families in December 2022.
STORMO will soon embark on a tour where they’ll perform ‘Alte Mura’ and other recent tracks, enhanced by visuals from artist Marco Fontichiari. Here are the key dates and locations for STORMO’s European tour:
