Manchester alternative act PLEIADES return with first new music in 3 years – listen to “Stomach”

Long time no hear with these nice fellas from Manchester. Featured on IDIOTEQ in 2016, PLEIADES are excited to share their new single “Stomach” will be released on all digital platforms November 17th via AWAL.

“Stomach” was recorded at HQ Recording Studio in Manchester and produced by Joe Clayton (Pijn, Leeched, Wren), and mastered by Brad Boatright (SUNN O))), Rolo Tomassi, Employed To Serve, Coldbones) at Audiosiege Portland, Oregon.

After releasing stand alone single ‘Pale Soul 94’, premiering on Kerrang Radio, Fresh Blood with Alex Baker in 2020 the band buried themselves in the studio again to work on a new set of songs showcasing a more insistent, progressive sound. Pleiades have harnessed a new approach to writing and drawn comparisons to Placebo, Devil Sold his Soul and Converge.

“We needed to showcase something with more urgency and drive. We wanted the bass and drums to take centre stage while the guitars and vocals weave throughout. Having Josh (Bass) singing has lifted our music in a way that we hadn’t really opened ourselves up to before.” – comments Andy from Pleiades.

“We’ve lost countless bands to the economic conditions and the harsh realities of being an artist. The sacrifices people are willing to make to be heard and be successful become more extreme and I wanted the imagery to be visceral and intense. Artists will die doing what they love regardless of what level they achieve and that is the visual I wanted to create.”
