Lambgoat has exclusively showcased the intense new video for “Note To Self” by the Nashville-based powerviolence duo, THETAN.

This track emerges as a precursor to the imminent release of their LP, Grand Ole Agony, which is slated for release via Anti-Corporate Music in the coming week.

THETAN, established in 2011, has carved a distinct niche for themselves, blurring genre lines by infusing elements of early hardcore, West Coast powerviolence, and the moody undertones of 1990s European black metal.

Their latest, Grand Ole Agony, promises a sonic rollercoaster, initiating listeners with eerie soundscapes that soon give way to the fierce bass and relentless drumming the band is renowned for.

The LP is punctuated by contributions from several musicians, including the celebrated jazz trumpeter Mac Gollehon and David Brenner, known for his unique noise stylings.

The album’s artwork and imagery are the collective contributions of Kristen Ferrell, Ericka Poore, and Joseph Wyman.

The track encapsulates the perpetual struggle with inner demons, emphasizing the inherent flaws of human nature and the internal battles we constantly wage

Lambgoat praises the track, hailing it as a deep dive into the complexities of the human psyche.

Fans can catch THETAN’s raw energy live, with an upcoming show in Nashville and more tour announcements on the horizon.
