Our screamo week continues with yet another great new offering, this time from one of our beloved NJ post hardcore bands, HUNDREDS OF AU. Dubbed “Dark Like Winter”, the new song bears an emotional gravity as it artfully weaves the ferocious intensity of screamo with the poignant touch of post-hardcore. The track embodies a juxtaposition of the vicious and reflective, swirling together in an exquisite dance that erupts into mesmerizing climaxes. Truly a spellbinding teaser of what’s to come from this ever-evolving band.
The track comes from Err02, the new 4-way split with Grey C.E.L.L., Wrong War and Kirkby Kiss, out now on Council Records.
“Dark Like Winter” marks the band’s first new standalone track since their recent new song “Year Two“, appearing on a split 7” with Horsewhip courtesy of Tor Johnson Records as part of their 20th anniversary collection, and their excellent 2021 EP “A Briefing on the Human Condition”.
Be sure to catch HUNDREDS OF AU at the upcoming edition of New Friends Fest, detailed HERE.
