Norwegian nostalgic indie emo act PROBLEMAN share “Reprise”, album to follow in October

1 min read

If you’re a fan of catchy riffs and emo vibes, you should definitely keep an eye out for Norway’s very own Probleman, previously covered on IDIOTEQ here and here. Hailing from Trondheim and known for their unique blend of American indie-rock and Midwest-emo, this band is back with their new single “Reprise“, an offering that pulsates with raw emotional energy and evokes an ineffable sense of nostalgia.

Slated for release on October 6th, the band’s new album is titled “Kor har eg vørre i heile mett liv” (“How I have older in my whole life” in English)

Earning accolades from NRK Urørt and high praise on P3’s “best right now,” Probleman’s debut EP marked a dramatic entrance into the music scene. Notably, their 2022 live concert debut as the supporting act for the legendary Spielbergs at Trondheim Calling only intensified their acclaim.

Their 2023 singles, “Byen her” and “Skal vi stupe” laid yet another stone on the path toward their highly-anticipated debut album, garnering playlist inclusions across premier streaming platforms.

Jon V. Nguyen, Project Manager at NRK Urørt, lauded the band’s artistic vitality, singling out their riffs as “elegant and irresistibly infectious,” supported by a percussion section that imbues each composition with invigorating dynamism.

Similarly, Daniel Rørvik Davidsen of NRK P3 extolled the song as a “promising harbinger” for Probleman’s forthcoming debut album, effusively praising its symphonic attributes.

Don’t forget, there’s a release party at the lobby with TAPE TRASH! For more information, check out the Facebook Event.
