POWER TRIP slay us with “Firing Squad,” the first new single from their anxiously awaited sophomore release Nightmare Logic, which will see release February 22nd through Southern Lord. “Firing Squad” was debuted at NPR magazine, who described that the record, “possesses a certain monolithic quality Lemmy would admire: a massive rawness and a sludgy, heavy hopelessness that thrashes with punk immediacy and metal intricacy…it’s a track preparing for war.”

POWER TRIP is a real band like no other. Their raw energy, musical proficiency, perfect song structure, rich tones, fierce riffs, persecution, and collective attitude have seeded them as one of the most prolific underground staples in the US metal, punk, and hardcore scenes. Nightmare Logic was produced by Arthur Rizk, engineered by Arthur Rizk and Matthew Barnhart, mastered by Joel Grind, and features cover art by Paolo Girardi.
POWER TRIP has relentlessly toured the world for years with the likes of Anthrax, Lamb Of God, Cro-Mags, Negative Approach, Turnstile, Backtrack, Eyehategod, Bane, Off!, and more, and has performed with countless others, in addition to pummeling audiences at major festivals all over the US, Europe, and beyond. POWER TRIP is on the road now with Napalm Death, The Black Dahlia Murder, Pig Destroyer, and Abnormality. The band is also confirmed to pay Mosh For A Cause 5 in Indianapolis on December 2nd with Burn, Harms Way, and more, America’s Hardcore Fest in Cambridge on December 3rd with Forced Order, Freedom, Gag, Impalers, Lock, Red Death, and more, and at This is Austin, Not That Great Festival in Austin on January 5th with Antwon.
