Emerging from Chicago and New Jersey’s rich hardcore scene, Hold My Own is back with a bang. Drawing members from powerhouse acts like The Mongoloids, Shattered Realm, MH Chaos, and more, the band is renowned for delivering unadulterated, aggressive hardcore anthems.

Today, they’ve unveiled their latest EP, “In My Way”, now available for streaming on DAZE.

Formed only two years ago in 2021, Hold My Own has already made significant waves in the scene. The same year saw their debut demo, and by 2022, they released the “Hold My Own” EP. Earlier this year, the band joined forces with Carried By Six for a split release. Their inspiration stems from hardcore legends like Biohazard and Bulldoze, but Hold My Own has a knack for infusing vintage vibes with contemporary intensity.

“In My Way” promises a rollercoaster ride for listeners, boasting intense breakdowns, unexpected samples, and powerful guest vocal features. The lineup includes appearances from Jon Ortiz of Sector and Senta from the iconic Japanese hardcore band, Numb. The EP’s production took place at Bricktop in Chicago, IL, under the guidance of Andy Nelson, while vocals were recorded at The Pit in Van Nuys, CA by Taylor Young.
