Roadburn expands 2025 lineup with 29 artists, including ENVY, ORANSSI PAZUZU, THOU

November 22, 2024
1 min read

Roadburn Festival has revealed 29 additional acts for its 2025 edition, further cementing its reputation as a premier destination for cutting-edge heavy music.

Returning favorites like Thou, Oranssi Pazuzu, and Messa will join first-time performers such as Envy, Tristwych Y Fenywod, and Curses. The festival, which will take place in Tilburg, Netherlands, from April 17–20, 2025, also boasts Steve Von Till and Midwife as artists in residence, each delivering multiple performances.

Roadburn’s artistic director Walter Hoeijmakers highlighted the festival’s boundary-pushing ethos, stating: “This announcement shows the broad scope of heaviness at Roadburn 2025. There are artistic, musical, and emotional boundaries being pushed, and we are hosting both up-and-coming acts making their festival debuts alongside longstanding luminaries. We are looking to the future, to our roots, and in all directions in the present to find those defying the perceived limits of genre in the underground. We know there are no limits.”

Midwife: Returning as an artist in residence, performing three unique sets, including a collaboration with Vyva Melinkolya and a commissioned performance of No Depression in Heaven.

Steve Von Till: Celebrated as an artist in residence, with two full sets and a collaborative audio-visual exhibition with artist Thomas Hooper.
