Seven Sisters Of Sleep recently completed recording their highly anticipated third full-length record withPaul Miner at Buzzbomb Sound Labs in Orange, CA. The album, which is the most developed work the band has produced thus far, will see an early 2016 release via Relapse. The band commented on the new material and signing, “We are proud and excited to be working with Relapse with our upcoming new full length and it is unquestionably our heaviest material to date.”

Southern California’s SEVEN SISTERS OF SLEEP formed in mid-2009 from members of Tafkata and The Arm and Sword Of A Bastard God. However, SSOS members have been playing in bands or on shows together for 15 years. Their first self-titled full length LP was released in the very beginning of 2011 on Baltimore’s A389 Records (CD on Southern Lord) and the band has been refining its sound ever since. Mixing components of doom, death metal, black metal, d-beat, grind, etc, SSOS are not content with fitting into one genre or subgenre. In general, SSOS write music that encompasses all the forms of heavy music that have influenced them over the years. Since the band’s inception, it has released 2 full-length LPs, a split LP with Children Of God, a self titled 7″EP/CD, and a split 7″EP with Ilsa on A389. A European 10″ EP split with Shaman’s Owl was released on Feast Of Tentacles, and a very limited interlocking groove 7″ EP via longtime friends Vedavu Records rounded out the band’s current discography. SSOS completed a full US tour in 2013 and an east coast tour in 2014, culminating in the band’s first MDF appearance. SEVEN SISTERS OF SLEEP signed to renowned independent label Relapse Records in 2015 for their upcoming third full-length, which is far and away the band’s most ambitious and meticulously-crafted material to date.
