Swedish hardcore punks GASP discuss new single “Lose It”

1 min read

Emerging from the pulsating heart of the hardcore scene in Malmö, GASP are back with brand new single! Partnering with Lövely Records – a label respected for its discerning ear and commendable catalogue – the band announces a four-band split vinyl, a promising nod to collaborative creation, slated for release later this year.

However, eager listeners will not have to exercise patience for much longer. Today, GASP unveil their first single from the split: ‘Lose It‘. A tantalizing teaser, the title implies a shedding of layers, a dissolution of facades.

Lose It is about choosing to be a loser every day of the week rather than someone trying to buy happiness,” a band member candidly shares. “About pushing a relationship as far as it will go and then realizing it wasn’t worth it. And that money and objects aren’t worth shit when you’re left with the hole of someone who doesn’t have the capacity to give what actually matters.”

This quote sheds light on the themes explored in ‘Lose It‘, a critical commentary on materialism and shallow relationships.
