IN SHORTS #38 📢 Early February News RoundUp

Berthold City formed in Los Angeles in 2017 around Andrew Kline of Strife, World Be Free and WAR Records. A three-song demo was followed by the “Moment Of Truth” and “What Time Takes” EPs, establishing the band inside straight-edge hardcore.

IDIOTEQ first covered “Moment Of Truth” in 2018, then “What Time Takes” the following year. In a full 2022 interview, Kline discussed the writing and recording of the debut album. “Where Did We Go Wrong?” followed in 2024 with songs addressing perseverance, loss, betrayal and social disillusionment while staying rooted in hardcore.
