Wake of Humanity are based in Tacoma, Washington; a 2017 IDIOTEQ feature described them in the Seattle hardcore context. Their work has been tied closely to vegan straight edge, animal rights, environmental concerns and human justice.
That political identity was explicit in our 2017 tour feature. The same year they toured Europe with Safe and Sound. In 2018 “Alone & Broken” was presented directly as a straight-edge song, and their 2018 year-end list showed some of the records surrounding the band at that point.
In 2026, “Mastering the Fine Art of Self Annihilation” introduced the “Distress Signal” EP on New Age Records. The band later filed the first part of their European tour diary.
