Tampa hardcore pack DEADSET inks a deal with DAZE label, new EP out now

1 min read

So, DAZE is absolutely tearing it up in 2023, and their latest move? Signing Tampa’s own hardcore band Deadset. These guys are fresh out of the gate with their self-titled EP that dropped today. If you’re into a mix of face-melting hardcore with some metalcore twists and early 2000s mosh pit vibes, Deadset’s your jam. Influences? Think 100 Demons and All Out War.

The EP’s got four tracks that go hard on themes like life, death, and the struggle for some sort of redemption. It was recorded in a cow field in Dade City, Florida. Ethan Murphy from Back Forty studios had the reins on mixing and mastering.

Deadset’s part of Three Knee Deep’s 10th-anniversary gig at Brass Mug in Tampa this Saturday. They’ll also rock out at FYA Fest come January.

You can stream the EP online and grab the 7” vinyl from DAZE right now.

Deadset is: Tyler Butler’s on vocals, David Norton and Dylan Catrett are handling guitars, Mike King’s on bass, and Stephen Sturtevant’s behind the drums.

Upcoming Shows:

9/16-  Tampa, FL @ Brass Mug w/ Three Knee Deep, Unified Right
10/21+22 – Hollywood, FL @ Equinox Fest
1/6 – Tampa, FL @ FYA Fest
