TEEN SUICIDE streaming new record on Run For Cover!

TEEN SUICIDE
Baltimore’s TEEN SUICIDE are streaming their forthcoming double LP, It’s the Big Joyous Celebration, Let’s Stir the Honeypot, in its’ entirety on their Bandcamp today as well as selling digital copies via the site for $5 for a limited time. The album will be released April 1, 2016 on Run For Cover Records.

It’s the Big Joyous Celebration, Let’s Stir the Honeypot is the first release for Teen Suicide since 2012. The band began as the solo project of Sam Ray (Ricky Eat Acid, Julia Brown) with a rotating cast of musicians but has since morphed into a full band. Pre-order for Big Joyous Celebration is now available via the Run For Cover webstore. Teen Suicide will embark on a full US tour on 4/20, all tour dates are below.

Teen Suicide’s new album, It’s the Big Joyous Celebration, Let’s Stir the Honeypot is also, according to the band, their final record. Recorded over fourteen months with a Robert Altman-sized group of collaborators and performers, it’s both a skeleton key for the band’s earlier work & a great corrective addition to it. Updating rather than refuting all of the past themes and styles of their revered first LP “i will be my own hell because there is a devil inside my body”, “Big Joyous Celebration” shifts between punk, noise, country, house & a myriad of other electric dance genres to create something as messy, sprawling, and captivating as its mouthful of a title. Spread over twenty six tracks, there is plenty that Teen Suicide’s swansong has to say for itself in the band’s distinct, enjoyable and refreshingly unique voice.

“9/10” -SPIN
“Eclectic noise pop auteurs… mesmerizing” -NYLON
“Cultishly beloved lo-fi” -Stereogum
