Influenced by the likes of Rorschach, Deadguy, Coalesce, Converge, Despise You and The Swarm, London based metallic hardcore pack BURN ALIVE have a 10″ coming out via The Coming Strife, and today we’re stoked to give you an early stream of the gritty, fierce offering below!
BURN ALIVE formed in London in 2019 and released their demo in June 2020 via The Coming Strife, following up with a cover of Napalm Death’s “Instinct of Survival” on TCS’ “Flame of Udun” compilation later that year.
“In the past we’ve been in other UKHC bands like World Weary, Zek, Target Lock and Transcendence.” – comments the band. “We just finally completed our first run of shows – 7 dates around the UK with Climate of Fear, Malignant Methods, Cruelty and Mastermind.”
The band is Oli on vocals, Dan on guitar, Sam on bass and Jamie on drums.
This EP will be released on 10″, again by The Coming Strife, and preorders will begin on November 15th. It was recorded and mixed in London by Wayne Adams and mastered by Ben Jones. Artwork was done by Jess Williams.
Asked about their take on the final effect, BURN ALIVE admit that they feel this EP “is an upgrade in terms of speed, heaviness and intensity”, and they couldn’t be more right. The new record strikes with vicious, chaotic dynamics, feels super vital, and explores the sinister metallized hardcore trajectory with its own complexity.
The EP contains five tracks and clocks in at about 10 minutes total.
