From Los Angeles, GHOSTLIMB deals in a brand of music that’s both emotive and punishing, landing in between world-weary post-hardcore and forward-chugging grindcore – “where NAPALM DEATH and HOT WATER MUSIC unite,” as MetalSucks put it. “Wall of Books” falls closer to the post-hardcore side – it is a burly, melancholy rocker. Lyrics mine the pages of history and great works of literature, pointing to frontman Justin Smith’s day job as a college professor. Smith is also the owner of Vitriol Records and a rumored member of the mysterious GRAF ORLOCK, whose newest album, Crime Traveler, also hits the streets February 5th. Metal Injection calls Difficult Loves, “yet another killer record in their already impressive discography.” New Noise calls it “their best album yet.” With such impeccable taste, it’s just as hard to ignore what these guys have to offer, so IDIOTEQ has no fear of joining the aforementioned magazines and highly recommend this amazing piece.
