Midwest Shock Rockers The Creepy Crawlers are proud to release their latest music video for the song “Attack!” from the EP of the same name (released on CD on February 10th, 2023 via UK-based label We Are Horror Records). The band will be releasing a special vinyl picture disc edition of the EP in June via Ohio based label Mosquito Hawk Exquisite Recordings.

“We feel lucky to have had the good fortune to put this project together and get signed and to have sold out of the first pressing of our CD before we’ve even played a proper show” said Rev. Chad Wells, the band’s imposing frontman. “Now we get to do a special picture disc version – which, for someone who bought W.A.S.P. and Motley Crue and Ozzy picture discs back in the 80’s, is a huge milestone and dream come true.”

The Creepy Crawlers

The Creepy Crawlers are a horrorpunk band known for their aggressive music and music videos. The band’s two previous music videos have featured a sort of underground horror film feel with storylines and characters, whereas “Attack!” is a bit more of a raw, frantic performance video.

“We’ve developed a shorthand for working together on these videos” said Scarika Watson, the band’s ginger Viking siren. “We wanted to do something stripped down and show off the hungry, aggressive live side of the band now that we’ve got Danny behind the kit.”

Attack!” is the first video to feature the band’s newly added drummer Danny Grim, a former bandmate with Rev. Chad Wells in the legendary early 00’s Horror Punk band The Jackalopes, who has only recently returned to the drum throne after an absence from the stage.

“I had 13 or 14 year run of gigging out with a ton of different bands until I ended up in California with no musical opportunities and I spiraled into addiction and took a 14 year vacation from playing in general” said the band’s aptly named drummer Danny Grim. “I found myself back in Ohio once again, sober and sitting in the tattoo chair of Rev. Chad Wells, dancing around the idea of being a part of this new thing he had been creating called the Creepy Crawlers

The Creepy Crawlers

The band’s EP “Attack!” is a collection of five tracks that showcase the band’s unique sound, blending horror-inspired lyrics with punk-rock attitude and a metal and hardcore inspired energy that brings disparate influences together to celebrate and venerate the band’s love for the Horror, Punk and Metal of the “Satanic Panic” plagued 1980’s and the band brings a pedigree, a legacy and a specialized expertise that makes them a distinctive type of monster.

“This needs to be on vinyl” said P.J. Wells, the band’s bassist. “All of the stuff this band is inspired by lived on cassette and on vinyl. The cool graphics and the nostalgic vibe adds to the songs in a way that streaming might not deliver. It’s for true fans of the band but also true Horror genre fans.”

The Vinyl Picture Disc special edition record will be available in June via the band’s Bandcamp and Spotify and at the band’s inevitable live shows that are rumored to be on the horizon for Fall of 2023.

The Creepy Crawlers live experience needs to be exactly that – an experience” said Danny Grim. “The live show needs to be perfectly imperfect. Tight as fuck blended with that live rawness that makes a great rock show what is, and in our case a hell of a stage show including theatrics. I’m thrilled to be back in the game, especially with a project of this caliber. The future is looking damn creepy, and I’m digging it.”

The band was featured on  “Horrorpunk’s Not Dead! Vol. 2.”, featuring a whopping 50 tracks, including 22 exclusive never-before-heard or unreleased tunes, this album is a must-have for fans of the genre. GO HERE to check it out.
