Bridge Nine Records welcomes post-hardcore band HEAVYHEX to its roster

1 min read

Legendary hardcore label, Bridge Nine Records, has expanded its impressive line-up with the addition of the dynamic Long Island-based post-hardcore band, HEAVYHEX.

Having emerged in 2021, HEAVYHEX swiftly rose to prominence due to their remarkable capacity to convey deep emotion through a compelling blend of melodic and post-hardcore soundscapes. Their sonic identity draws inspiration from iconic bands like Mindset, Have Heart, and Title Fight.

Their debut EP, “Stare,” released in April 2022, propelled HEAVYHEX to stardom, allowing them to rub shoulders on stage with notable acts like Silent Majority, Militarie Gun, Soul Glo, and I Am The Avalanche.

The band has recently completed recording their much-anticipated debut album, “True To You,” produced by the renowned Jay Maas of Defeater fame. The upcoming release promises an introspective exploration of personal challenges, societal matters, and the persistent call for equality. Maas’ collaboration ensured that the album embodies the perfect interplay of aggressive yet clear guitar tones infused with genuine emotion and backed by a rhythmically robust percussion.

Bridge Nine owner Chris Wrenn expressed his enthusiasm about the signing, noting, “Listening to HEAVYHEX’s EP transported me back to the time I first encountered Have Heart and Defeater. That feeling signaled to me that HEAVYHEX deserved a spot in the Bridge Nine family. We eagerly await the release of their new album and anticipate crowds passionately singing along at their forthcoming gigs.”
