Bridge Nine Records began in the summer of 1995, when Chris Wrenn was nineteen and got a seven-inch pressed for friends he had been at school with. For the next four years the label put out a record or two a year, all of them by bands around Boston, and it runs today out of Peabody, Massachusetts.
It still signs hardcore bands to that same catalogue. Incendiary Device joined in 2023, a New York band put together by the filmmaker Drew Stone with Tristan D’Graves and built on Minor Threat and the raw end of the city’s own history. Their self-titled debut came out on the label, and two years later the same four-piece produced the follow-up, New York City, themselves and put it out in Germany.
