CONVERGE drops deluxe edition of “The Dusk In Us”, reissue of “No Heroes” coming up

2 mins read

Boston-based mathcore pioneers Converge are back with a deluxe 2xLP edition of their 2017 masterpiece “The Dusk In Us.” This special release features a holographic gatefold jacket, a 32-page booklet, and five never-before-released tracks on 12″ vinyl.

Known for their boundary-defying musical landscape that spans punk, metal, and hardcore, Converge’s ninth studio album “The Dusk In Us” received critical acclaim for its emotional depth and musical inventiveness. Recorded in guitarist Kurt Ballou’s Godcity Studios and mixed by Ballou himself, the album is “a brutal but beautiful” tour-de-force that vocalist Jacob Bannon describes as a reflection of “new chapters in our lives.”

The new deluxe edition allows fans to delve deeper into the complex emotional states explored in tracks like “A Single Tear” and “Under Duress,” which Bannon explains address parenthood and our emotional reactions to an increasingly complex world, respectively.

Converge, formed in 1990, earned their legendary status with breakthrough albums like “Jane Doe” in 2001 and “All We Love We Leave Behind” in 2012. The band continues to push the envelope with “The Dusk In Us,” making it one of their most dynamic and avant-garde albums to date.

In other exciting news, Converge also announced a vinyl reissue of their 2006 classic “No Heroes,” set for a September 22 release. The reissue will feature several colored vinyl variants and is part of a larger vinyl reissue campaign for their discography.

Pressing Details for “No Heroes” Reissue:

500 – Transparent Red / Beer Galaxy (Deathwish)
500 – Transparent Red / Black Galaxy (Closed Casket Activities)
500 – White / Transparent Blue Galaxy (Newbury Comics)
