ARCHITECTS vocalist Sam Carter criticized a member of the audience that groped a girl while her crowdsurfing. We don’t support such abusive behavior, so it’s always good to see such a reaction on a big metal show.
Sam shouted:
“I saw a girlâa womanâcrowdsurfing over here, and I’m not gonna fucking point the piece of shit out that did it, but I saw you fucking grab at her boob. I saw it. It is fucking disgusting, and there is no fucking place for that shit. It is not your fucking body. It is not your fucking body, and you do not fucking grab at someone. Not at my fucking show.”
'So, i've been going over in my f*cking mind about whether I should say something about what I saw during that last song….' @Architectsuk pic.twitter.com/zm5L4zlXpw

The first audio insight into the new Sterilize album from legendary noise rock group UNSANE arrived with the premiere of “Aberration.”
According to the band, “‘Aberration’ is classic UNSANE, raw and direct, it only took a couple of takes to lock it down. It’s essentially a ditty about the swirling thoughts that go through your head after being screwed over. I’m sure anyone can appropriate or relate it to their personal experiences.”
The track is taken from UNSANE‘s eighth studio album, and first for Southern Lord, Sterilize, set for release September 29th. UNSANE recently announced European tour dates in support of the album, taking place this October, and has just added a second hometown show at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus Bar in November.
Since 1988, UNSANE has been delivering caustic grooves and foundation-crumbling riffs. As a power trio, they have honed their hammering, power-press rhythm section, searing Telecaster howl, and distorted vocals that resemble a chainsaw cutting a steel beam. The band’s gnarled blend of punk, metal, noise, and hardcore assisted in pioneering a more aggressive, less studied version of noise rock, one that blended the scum/art industrial sturm und drang of Foetus, the Swans, Einsturzende Neubauten, and Sonic Youth with a decidedly more straightforward hardcore idiom. While developing the blueprint for noise bands to follow, UNSANE cut a remarkable swath through underground music, inspiring a devoted, cult-like following around the globe, and helped to define the “AmRep sound” alongside other forerunners of the style, Today Is The Day, The Jesus Lizard, Helmet, Tad, Cows, Halo Of Flies, and Melvins.
Closing a five-year gap since the 2012 release of their Wreck LP through Alternative Tentacles, UNSANE makes a vicious return with Sterilize, a record that recalls the most defining elements of the band’s seminal Scattered, Smothered, And Covered, and Occupational Hazard albums, surging with the band’s unrelenting singular sound created by guitarist/vocalist Chris Spencer, bassist/vocalist Dave Curran, and drummer Vinnie Signorelli. Sterilize showcases the group sounding as dense and damaging as ever, and sees them remaining as necessary as ever, nearly three decades since they began.

Richmond’s BLEACH EVERYTHING (members of IRON REAGAN, MAMMOTH GRINDER, JESUIT, SUPPRESSION, and CORN ON MACABRE) streaming new track “Nazi Punch, Fuck Yes”:
In light of the murder of Heather Heyer and the appalling events that transpired at this past weekendâs gathering of Neo-Nazis in Charlottesville, Virginiaâs own BLEACH EVERYTHING have issue a brand new digital single titled âNazi Punch, Fuck Yesâ (complete with art from visual collaborator STEAK MTN) across all streaming and digital platforms.
Certainly not subtle in message or intent, “Nazi Punch, Fuck Yes” is a unifying anthem for anyone in this world that holds zero tolerance toward racism, bigotry, sexism, homophobia, nationalism, and all beliefs or actions that seek to trample or restrict common decency and respect toward the diversity that keeps us all learning and growing more with each other every day. As a band, and as individuals, BLEACH EVERYTHING refuse to remain silent amidst the re-emerging faces of thinly-veiled Neo-Nazi rhetoric. We know what youâre attempting to do and we will make you afraid again.

American deathcore / death metal act THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD have debuted a brand new single titled “Hate The Living”. The new song comes from the band’s new LP, Disomus, which is scheduled to be released October 13, 2017 via Entertainment One Music (eOne) / Good Fight Music.
“We are extremely excited to get this record out to everyone,” adds bassist Jake Ososkie. “It was a lot of work getting this together and the final product is something that we think old fans and new fans will love.”
Disomus is the long anticipated follow up to their last LP, Skepsis, released in 2010. Disomus marks the second consecutive album with vocalist Danny Rodriguez and drummer Michael Ranne (a first in the group’s impressive history) together with longtime bassist Jake Ososkie and founding guitarist and songwriting engine Justin Longshore. Disomus doubles as the studio introduction of new guitarist Steven Funderburk (also of Wretched, Lillake) and the return of original vocalist Anthony Gunnells and his successor, Nate Johnson, via strong guest appearances, bringing Through The Eyes Of The Dead full circle.
Through The Eyes Of The Dead is also revealing the album art for Disomus today, created by longtime visual collaborator Paul Romano.
“Disomus” is the medical term describing an abnormal fetus with two bodies but one head. The album’s subject matter includes the tale of a man buried alive by a cult (“Obitual”), a dark magician’s creation of a malignant entity via sacrificial killing (“Haruspex”), underworld spirits doomed to roam the earth (“Dismal”), the Styx River of Greek myth (“Vortices in the Stygian Maelstrom”), the themes of the Alien/Prometheus film franchise (“Teras,” alternately named for an abnormal fetus with two heads and one body), and the real life tragedy and horror discovered by Rodriguez, a Chicago police officer, when called upon to check on the well being of an elderly person who lived alone (“Till Solace, She’ll Haunt”).
“Hate the Living” is not only the name of the first track on Through The Eyes Of The Dead‘s first album in seven years, but part of a battle cry of sorts that has adorned the band’s t-shirts for years. The second half of the phrase is “Love the Dead.” Like the best of death metal’s past, present, and future, Through The Eyes Of The Dead is the kind of band that makes living with death worth loving.
SLED, the latest punk rock band to join the roster of Bird Attack Records brings you a lyric video for “Wasting Away”, which marks their 3rd song released on this album leading up to their full blown drop on 9/15/2017
NYC-based hard rock trio BETWEEN THE RAIN release new single â44″.
“44” is the true account of a relativeâs harrowing experience in World War II. Itâs about keeping a clear head in the face of danger. Inspired by acts like Chevelle, Tool, 10 Years, Soundgarden and Stone Temple Pilots, the group are quickly gaining steam and are in the studio putting the finishing touches on their new release The Knockoff, due out later this year.
Catch the band live at their upcoming shows on August 19 at Shillelagh Tavern and August 25 at Asheâs Triple Face Summer Fest.
Set in motion when it found its final lineup in 2013, the band is comprised of Tim Donlon, a street-busking musician from the Detroit-area who was joined by Victoria Rothman, an ex-Berklee bass player and Xavier Martinez, a drummer steeped in the rock tradition. Together, the sound has developed into a dynamic exploration of rock n’ roll. Inspired by acts like Chevelle, Tool, 10 Years, Soundgarden and Stone Temple Pilots, the group are quickly gaining steam and are in the studio putting the finishing touches on their new release The Knockoff, due out later this year.

Nefarious Industries presents the eponymous debut by upstate New York-based trio LACES OUT, having released the five-song digital EP and two-song super-limited vinyl versions of the record at the end of July. The band and label got together to stuff the records this week, in advance of the band’s local show on Sunday celebrating the EP’s release. Anybody in the area should see LACES OUT at their all-ages matinee show celebrating the EP’s release this Sunday, August 20th in Beacon, New York, the band’s last show of the season. Additional tour dates for later this year will be announced in the weeks ahead.
The limited edition two-song lathe-cut 7″ version of Laces Out limited to 50 hand-numbered copies and additional LACES OUT and related merch is available Nefarious Industries.
LACES OUT sounds like licking dirt with tiny granules of sugar scattered throughout. Merging punk, indie, grunge, and noise rock elements through a surge of heartfelt songwriting, listeners can expect trace elements of Fugazi, Unwound, At The Drive In, Jesus Lizard, Pissed Jeans, BVS, Young Widows, Drive Like Jehu, and Nirvana in their songs. Dynamics and angular progression drive their sound, which is heavily influenced by noise from the ’90s. Laces Out was recorded live at Boom Stick Recording in Monroe, New York, engineered by Jeff Rendano, produced by Rendano and the band, mastered at Nada Studios by Eric Costello, and finished with artwork by Joe Hallmark.
Decibel stated, “The members of LACES OUT have been playing music together for more than a decade, so they presented themselves a unique challenge: write a whole EP, in order, without trashing any songs. The end result is a cohesive and fluid EP that takes influence from a host of bands like Nirvana, Fugazi, At The Drive In and Jesus Lizard but has its own sound still.” Metal Trenches’ review includes, “LACES OUT oozes aesthetic of the days when alternative radio reigned supreme and MTV actually played edgy music videos instead of reality garbage… I am immediately thinking of Fugazi.”

Sydney based melodic post hardcore / metalcore act ENDLESS HEIGHTS release new song; announce tour dates:
“This song came about from the frustration of watching myself constantly make poor decisions with some of the most important relationships in my life. Sooner or later though reality kicks back in â and you either wake up and accept the coward youâve become, or take back the reigns and choose to turn it around.” Joel Martorana.
