Austrian screamo band PETTERSSON streaming their captivating new record in full

1 min read

After a successful premiere of their new song on IDIOTEQ, Vienna based PETTERSSON solidify their sound as a torch-bearer for screamo / post hardcore genre with a full stream of their new record ‘Rift And Seam’! Listen below.

The band sounds very Scandinavian – not only the name but also their sound. But behind the name we find three friends from Vienna who formed the band in late 2014. Now, two years later, Pettersson are ready to release their first full-length album ‘Rift And Seam’ via I.Corrupt.Records and a couple of international DIY labels. The seven songs and one instrumental interlude (which features a Turkish speaking woman – believe, this sounds so good!) are very emotional and transfer a lot of feelings which you find the lyrics. If you don’t end up this album with tears in your eyes or goosebumps, something may be wrong with you. Musically this is perfectly performed Emo/Screamo/Post-Hardcore in the vein of Suis La Lune, Funeral Diner, Envy, The Tidal Sleep or Pianos Become The Teeth. And I’m sure Pettersson shouldn’t be afraid to be compared with those bands!

The vinyl output is limited to 500 pieces and comes with clear (300 pieces) and black (200) wax.
