Fresh off the release of their new music video for “Bodies Carried Over Doves”, off of their upcoming EP “Love Will Drown The Nest“, being released October 16th, 2020 on 12” vinyl & cassette via Delayed Gratification Records, we are teaming up with Columbus, Ohio’s EN LOVE to give you a closer look at their work and 6 brand new badass songs following the release of their demo, “Like Someone En Love”, released back in 2018.
En Love is a Columbus, Ohio hardcore punk band that dives into the sounds of West Coast powerviolence laced hardcore punk from the mid 2000โs & combines it with a layer of pop catchiness. The band formed in the Spring of 2018 with their demo, “Like Someone En Love” (released via Delayed Gratification Records), being released in the Autumn of the same year.
Since the release of the demo, En Love have been playing around the Midwest of the United States & have opened for bands such as No Warning, Rotting Out & Show Me The Body. Once shows are allowed to happen in the United States at a normal pace, the band plan to tour in support of the new EP.
“Love Will Drown The Nest” is the band’s newest EP, consisting of 6 new songs building on their 2018 demo entitled “Like Someone En Love”.

In regards to the single “Bodies Carried Over Doves“, vocalist Joey Mendicino had this to say:
“I wrote it with an outlook on people in this modern age adopting a poacher and prey mentality. We use each other while shedding our own empathy and discard what’s left. Choosing a survival of the fittest approach to life which says a lot about the American mentality. Snakes posing as friends, police posing as protectors, governments posing as saviors just to turn around and abuse the very thing they “care about”. The abused reach out for something that was never there while the rats of the world are devouring it along with one another. With depression at an all time high, the world gets a little darker and I’m just trying to feel something. Hope, anger, etc. Whatever hasn’t been stripped away.”
