RESTRAINING ORDER share new video for “Another Better Day”, debut LP coming up on Triple B Records

2 mins read

The airwaves are currently being disrupted by hardcore-punk pack Restraining Order, who have just premiered their new single, “Another Better Day“. With Patrick Cozen’s raw vocal delivery and buoyant guitar riffs, the track exudes an aura of hope that is hard to miss. The song’s accompanying video, which leverages a slow-motion technique, has been directed by Ben Clinton and can be viewed above.

Vocalist Cozens sheds light on the song’s inspiration: “You can see the light at the end of the tunnel but you’re just not there yet. Life always has its way of trying to bring you down, but we all made it this far. I believe things will get better over time. Just keep looking towards that better day.”

“Another Better Day” comes hot on the heels of “Misled“, and both tracks will feature on Restraining Order’s forthcoming second album, ‘Locked In Time‘, which is slated for release on 21st July via Triple B Records. The band builds on the success of their 2019 debut, ‘This World Is Too Much’, refining their hardcore prowess and employing a fresh, forward-thinking approach.

The conception and execution of ‘Locked In Time‘ was a comprehensive process that began in autumn 2019 and wrapped up in late 2022. With drummer Will Hirst at the recording and production helm, the band concentrated on the finer details and expanded their sonic dimensions. Beyond its core hardcore foundation, ‘Locked In Time’ explores elements of garage, psychedelia, and classic rock, amalgamating chaos with melody and ambitious song structures. This record aims to forge a connection as much as it hopes to incite the listener to dance in the pit.

Despite their heavy recording schedule, Restraining Order remains dedicated to live performances, currently embarked on the Triple B Takeover tour in Europe, sharing the stage with No Pressure, Sunami, Pain of Truth, and C4.

Following a brief intermission, the band will participate in The Rumble in Chicago and Sound and Fury in Los Angeles. Several East Coast record release shows have been announced for August alongside Candy Apple, as well as a weekend set with Mindforce, Simulakra, and Scarab.
