We’re Trying Records was founded in Austin, Texas, and calls itself a DIT label, for “do it together”, one that backs its artists in ways that go beyond releasing their albums. Its releases have included emo and screamo records from several countries, often shared with other small labels.
In 2018 it released a double A-side cassette by the Australian band Treehouses. The Italian screamo band Votto put their album “Quindi Noi Sbagliando Facemmo Giusto” out on tape through it in 2021, together with Desperate Infant Records in Hong Kong and È un brutto posto dove vivere in Italy, and said that Jordan from the label had contacted them soon after their first EP. Detroit’s Easy Beach followed with a self-titled LP in 2023, shared with Sleepy Clown Records, and the Spanish band Comic Sans with “Éramos felices y No Lo Sabíamos” in 2024.
