Soon after their recent release of THE STROKES cover of “Hard To Explain” Californian post hardcore rockers TOUCHE AMORE have teamed up with Joyce Manor leader Barry Johnson to give us their version of “Game Of Pricks”, the power-pop anthem from GUIDED BY VOICES’ 1995 album Alien Lanes.

Touche Amore have scheduled their tour with Thrice and Self Defense Family for later this month and you can check out the dates HERE.

The band commented:

“When discussing songs to cover, everyone successful the set submitted ideas, and “Game of Pricks” by Guided By Voices felt similar it was successful our wheelhouse.

Once successful the studio, longtime person and shaper Alex Estrada projected belting it out, negating the melody, and solving the occupation of the opus being retired of Jeremy’s vocal scope (a large suggestion). But upon listening back, it felt similar determination was missed opportunity.

Thinking astir friends that shared emotion for GBV, Barry Johnson came to mind. The Touché Amoré and Joyce Manor narration extends 10+ years, and we’ll question retired immoderate excuse to collaborate with friends, truthful this was the cleanable opportunity. Barry kindly agreed and knocked it retired of the park.

The dependable of our voices unneurotic brought a grin to our faces, and we anticipation it does the aforesaid for you!”
