Nothing To Lose – German wild crossover thrash punks ÜBERGANG premiere new jam “Nichts Zu Verlieren”

1 min read

German crossover thrash powerpack ÜBERGANG (German for „Transition“) are preparing to deliver their new record “Zeichen der Zeit“. The album unloads 13 hell-bent songs in the crushing old school fashion fans should ravenously expect. It holds down a street date of Novemebr 24th via German label Demons Run Amok Entertainment, and we’re stoked to volunteer to premiere their new track called “Nichts Zu Verlieren” . Witness ÜBERGANG’s aggressive blackened thrash at its most venomous and learn its purpose and lyrical intention through the official word below.

The band commented on the concept of the record “Zeichen der Zeit”:

Being a human means being confronted with change all the time, nothing is permanent and all your dreams and assumptions can be questioned on every day, in every moment. We learned this the hard way since we started the band and we still do. At the same time, the world around us is changing at a crazy pace. The signs are everywhere. Now a lot of thrash metal and hardcore bands have been preaching about the collapse of civilization since the 80s. On „Zeichen der Zeit“, we focus more on the fact that the world is in a constant state of collapsing and rebuilding, going in circles like the hand of a clock. It may be painful to watch, that’s why the guy on the cover has the scorpion piercing his eye. But you also see that he is not desperate about this. The world puts you into this situation, but it doesn’t decide on the attitude you meet it with. The same is reflected in our lyrics, they are pissed off, but in the end they are positive. Sort of grimly positive.
