11th Hour – straight edge band xREDLINEx tackles suicide in new important single, listen here!

1 min read

Started with Marko of 2MINUTE MINOR and the 90s Chicago hardcore band Blindside wanting to do something alittle heavier and different, xREDLINEx features Larry of XIRON SHARPENS IRONX, Josh of Vanguard and Life Force and Wiley and Mic Cox of ZAO, who both have a podcast called the Coffee & Hardcore.

“The single 11th Hour was written and made for a friend that committed suicide.” – comments Wiley.

“We just wanted to show our respect for people struggling and let people know they are not alone. Suicide effects everyone around the situation and I believe a door way to the unknown that doesn’t need to be opened. We will all face death one day because that is just a part of life but I hope and fear it’s not by the way of suicide. Life is worth living and we miss the hell out of our friends and family that have crossed over.”

Lyrics:

Keep holding faith
Keep wanting to believe
Your reasons and your answers
Have led me far astray

How much can one take?
To what end must one reach?
Looking deep inside
To find where it breathes

Carry the cross alone
Does it make a difference knowing
That it brought me to my knees
Carry the weight of the world
Does it make a difference knowing
Actions bring you pain through my humility

Scarred from what we see
Deafened from what we hear
Line pulled too tight
No longer can breath the air
My saving Grace is killing me
One last grasp of this reality

Carry the cross alone
Does it make a difference knowing
That it brought me to my knees
Carry the weight of the world
Does it make a difference knowing
Actions bring you pain through my humility
