Good Fight Music presents Don’t Come Back, the new two-song digital single from Boston’s GREAT AMERICAN GHOST, available next Friday, November 18th. Recorded by Jay Maas of Defeater, mastered by Bill Henderson (HOLLOW EARTH, LVL UP), Don’t Come Back is the first new music out of the GAG camp since last year’s Everyone Leaves full-length on Good Fight. A master class in dark, heavy, New England hardcore, Everyone Leaves inspired comparisons to Converge and American Nightmare; today, MetalSucks magazine premiered the video for “Destroyer,” one of the two songs on the new Don’t Come Backsingle. Absolutely crushing, “Destroyer” is a glimpse at the direction this band is evolving (and a testament to the power of salmon).
Lyrics:
I’m the name splashed across your lips
The black keys at your fingertips
You just need to remember this
That praying isn’t purging if it don’t mean shit
This is permanence, this is ill intent
I would have fucking died for you, now I wish that you were deadI know
You love me
Won’t get
Enough of me
Can’t keep my name out your fucking mouthYou’re not a man, I’ll tell you why
Men don’t lie about their fucking livesEvery lie that you’ve ever sold
Will come back around when you grow old
Every lie that you’ve ever said will be the nail in the coffin in the end

“Fueled by jagged-edged shiv stabs of a main riff and a trampling chorus, ‘Destroyer’ is an aural smack in the face that will have you begging to be hit again. It doesn’t hurt that the song is catchier than fly paper, either; this song will get stuck in your head like a nail hammered into your skull.”
