BIRDS IN ROW are back with a stunning new track “15-38”

2 mins read

Recorded and mixed by Amaury Sauve at The Apiary, and mastered by Thibault Chaumont at Deviant Lab, “We Already Lost the World”, BIRDS IN ROW‘s new nine song album is a fine, emotional and electric example of post punk and angular rock influences. Today, the band has finally premiered a new track coming off of the LP and it’s streaming above! Check it out and leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Birds In Row are a melodic/abrasive band from Laval, France. Blurring the lines between hardcore, punk, and related sub-genres, Birds In Row offer something of substantial weight to their listeners. Collectively carrying somber hearts and poignant souls, they navigate through melancholic seas to shape beautifully hook-laden songs unlike anything else out there today.

“15-38” is the latest single from Laval, France’s Birds in Row, and it’s light years away from the Deathwish Inc. signees’ previous efforts. Best known for trafficking in spazzy, screamy hardcore, the group shows new, subtler shades of color on its latest track, a slow-burn emotional offering that grows deeper and darker as it progresses, eventually opening back up into the brand of heaviosity that the trio is most associated with. Stream it for the first time above. / Decibel Magazine

“15-38” Lyrics:

I saw you and i knew
You were to press it,
The rusty sword on my back
All loudness and nonsense
And the grease on your hands
Chocking your phone cracks
Cheap perfume ran on the dust
And it found no rest
I lost a life waiting somewhere
Between your teeth and nails
And this train just won’t crash

I dream of a world
Where the birds won’t sing
Every single text from your ex
I know i am tired
And we re both going down to hell
Will you still spit at the black clouds over your head
And spray your ashes in the air
Polluting my last breath

In the fire, how i wish you could just learn

I need understandings
The symmetry of a shell
The applause of an ego
Who knew i was right
All along the fight

I built a sanctuary out of my own faith
In everything i’m not but i wished you forced yourself to be
In my head i screamed your name
And i was sure we’d be friends
but you told me without words
Enough for me to understand:
“Hate me, love me
We already lost the World”
you know we’d better run
