Link to purchase the tape (we only have 65) is in the comments. Also, this is our 100th release. Thanks for the support. <3

Polish experimental black metal band THAW reveal a new song from their forthcoming studio album, “Grains”, set to be released on December 8th via Agonia Records. Listen to the track “Wielki Piec” below.
In the past years the world of extreme music witnessed a monumental turn in black metal philosophy. A new, experimental approach stormed the genre and while many purists shook their heads in disapproval, a new age was already starting. As with every revolution, there were leaders and followers. While not being there for the initial spark, you can hardly call THAW the latter. This Polish black/experimental powerhouse was founded in 2010 by members of such acclaimed acts as Mentor, ARRM and Furia. Their music boldly fuses black metal with sludge, doom and sonic experiments, along with with noise, electronics and free-impro.
This fall, THAW is touring Poland with Furia, Sacrilegium and Licho, with more dates to be announced in due time. Often praised for their energetic live appearance, THAW has a stage history with bands such as Jucifer, Altar Of Plagues or Corrections House; they also performed at festivals including Asymmetry Festival, Metalfest, OFF Festival, Under The Black Sun, Castle Party, Inferno Festival, Primavera Sound Festival and Brutal Assault. In 2015, THAW supported Behemoth on their European “Satanist” tour (alongside Bölzer).

Western Massachusetts’ loudest band, KINDLING, have teamed with Stereogum to premiere “Better World” another decibel shattering track from their upcoming full length, Hush, due out November 10th from 6131 Records.
Kindling has never lacked in volume and power, but on Hush the band have also
mastered dynamics, taking their sound to new sonic peaks and valleys. Recorded by Justin Pizzoferrato (The Pixies, Speedy Ortiz, The Hold Steady, Dinosaur Jr.) and mastered by Josh Bonati (Slowdive, Wild Nothing, Sufjan Stevens) Hush rises and falls making every blast of distortion or wave of atmosphere that much stronger. This is more than just a collection of the right pedals and effects, Kindling’s attention to song-craft makes every moment feel purposeful, and makes Hush feel essential, not just for shoegaze fans, but for anyone seeking powerful guitar rock.
“Better World” showcases more shoegaze-inflected side of Kindling’s powerful brand of alternative rock, but as with every track on Hush, memorable songwriting takes focus over effects. The song’s dreamy verses explode into a guitar lead that’s as catchy as it is driving, with Stereogum saying the track “offers a dizzying change of pace; subdued harmonic vocals float above a slow-chugging guitar, swirling riffs, and a patient drumbeat.”
Tour Dates:
11/09 New Haven, CT @ Three Sheets
11/10 Brooklyn, NY @ Trans Pecos
11/11 Florence, MA @ 13th Floor
11/12 Providence, RI @ News Cafe

Arizona melodic-hardcore band WITHERED BONES is premiering a song, titled “Indoctrinated”. The track is taken from the band’s upcoming album, In Search Of Self-Evidence, which is due out Dec. 8 via Blood & Ink Records.
“Growing up I was taught not to question anything,” shares frontman Russell Ullrich. “I was spoon fed my grandparents beliefs on a narrow path of ideals, sheltered from external thought. I was often told, “Only God knows,” when grown-ups didn’t have answers to ease my uncertainty. As I got older and became exposed to current culture, I quickly began to resent my upbringing in the church.”
He continues, “‘Indoctrinated’ was not written to attack my friends or family who believe in God, but rather proclaim my dissociation from injustice within Christianity as a culture. Obviously not every church is a radical southern Baptist organization, but some of the most forward-thinking mentors I have had still exclude people based on racial or sexual orientation. I would rather stop existing than live in a world where we cannot question things.”
Parisian post rockish screamo / post hardcore act 2 grès have released a new EP “Regarde nous tomber”, a perfect reminder of great records from DAITRO or SED NON SATIATA, having everything to delight French screamo fans, irrespective of genre, and arguably the band’s best work yet. Listen below and GO HERE to check out our previous feature, released earlier this year.

Cult UK doom/sludge outfit IRON MONKEY is pleased to unveil the official video for “Toadcrucifier – R.I.P.PER.” The track comes by way of the band’s recently-issued 9-13 full-length out now on Relapse Records.
Issues IRON MONKEY’s J. Rushby, King Of Sludge. “Hello Vomit… Welcome to the exploding black nitro-filth of the ‘Toadcrucifier – R.I.P.PER’ video. Enjoy the maximum speed doom attack ov raw meat rorschaaaax and eyedeath. Hail Moreland Street!”
Adds No Echo of “Toadcrucifier – R.I.P.PER,” “Rushby’s diseased-sounding vocals are not far removed from Morrow’s… If anything, Rushby might sound even more deranged than his late bandmate. On ‘Toadcrucifier – R.I.P.PER,’ he’s at his nastiest, delivering the lyrics like a homicidal maniac who just escaped an English mental institution.”
Post rockers OUR CEASING VOICE have releaseda new video for their song “Delusion of Love”, taken from the new album “Free Like Tonight”.
Austrian ambient rockers Our Ceasing Voice have always thrived on change. At the heart of their new sound are vocals as distinctive as the music itself: dark and poetic, dramatic and brave. It’s a soundtrack for late hours of long summer nights. Music for the times when every kiss goodbye seems too brief, and when farewells still bear the hope of sweet reunion.

Italian noise post punks HIS ELECTRO BLUE VOICE are teasing their new record “Mental Hoop” on Maple Death Records / Iron Lung Records. Experience the “Earthworm” below.
You’re stuck in a rut, an existential routine that dawns on you every morning invading every corner of your mind, an inch of life worth living through the lens of a tallboy with the sound of mainstream television or static noise in the background? His Electro Blue Voice responds with Mental Hoop, their proper follow up to 2013’s Ruthless Sperm (Sub Pop).
Mental Hoop is a precise answer, an almost rigid foray into one’s internal daily battles, a state of mind you just start dealing with, a circular piece of metal you learn to circumnavigate. Let us go out on a limb by saying no other band in Europe operates the way His Electro Blue Voice does: no one is allowed in on their internal process, it’s airtight, sealed and meticulously crafted by their ringleader Francesco Mariani and his new found sidekick Andrea Cantaluppi. Every comma, every screech is there for a reason. Mental Hoop took three years to complete, a change in pace from the band’s past frenetic discography: gone is the organic earthy carefree approach of Ruthless Sperm now replaced by mind games, obsession, celestial psych and extra terror. No worries though, HEBV is as savage as ever, bringing it’s A-game and its usual brand of punishing dark-punk, Italo Hardcore, kraut beats, metallic noise and industrial. From post-Stooges in Ministry-land fever (Earthworm, Ice Skull) to Killing Joke’s industrial grind (Scum Rat) what ties together HEBV’s trash is their cyber synth washes of gutter noise and horror stories taken out of the AmpRep catalogue circa 2026 (Crystal Mind, Onieut). Witness their full on assault, through mind-warping loops, death cries and venom hatred. Get stuck.
His Electro Blue Voice’s Mental Hoop is released by and Iron Lung (US) and Maple Death (EU) and follows their previous stream of releases on great labels like Sacred Bones, Sub Pop, Avant!, S-S Records, Holidays and Bat Shit Records.

Soon after the release of their amazing new record “The Dusk In Us”, chaotic hardcore gods CONVERGE are teasing another short release of their 4 extra tracks, recorded during the album sessions:
“We all disagreed about what the strongest songs were, and which songs made for the best record. I think we’re all equally unhappy with what ended up on the album. It was a compromise. Some of the songs on that album are actually some of the weakest ones that we recorded, and some of the ones that aren’t on the album are the strongest. We’re just not exactly sure how we’re going to release them yet. Whether it’s B-sides, or an EP, we don’t know yet.”

Sydney based trans-screamo/hardcore act PASSING are sttreaming their new 7″, out now on Black Wire Records / One Brick Today.
“PASSING is an abrasive musical statement channelling and chronicling the transgender narrative. Born from the disgust and dysphoria of the body and built on the idea that all music is political, PASSING reclaims hardcore tropes, clearing a space for room to grow and change in a stale hyper-masculine genre”
PASSING are Naif (Vocals), Tara Jayne (Bass), Camilo (Guitar) and Max (Drums). Recorded & mixed by Passing. Mastered by Jonathan Boulet. Written and recorded May 2017 at Monster Mouse & Pleb City on the land of the Gadigal and Wangal peoples of the Eora Nation. Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal Land
Clermont Ferrand, France based indie punk rockers YOUNG HARTS have released their first EP. Formed in 2017, based on a musical trio and a lead singer (Including members from bands such as The Elderberries, Like Wires, Araban and Kunamaka) Young Harts musical style dips into indie rock and punk rock. This first EP recorded at a live session at Le Tremplin in Beaumont was tracked, mixed and mastered by the one and only Pascal “Power” Mondaz. The band is looking for labels that would be interested to help them release a vinyl or cassette tape.
San Francisco, California’s frenzy 70s noisy punk rock’n’rollers SPIRITUAL CRAMP are streaming their new EP “Mass Hysteria”, available now via REACT! Records and Deathwish Inc. distribution.
“Spiritual Cramp comes to the Bay Area in a time of need. San Francisco has always been a haven for artists, musicians, punks & freaks. But here, in 2017, these types have become more offhand than on–lesser, as if that side of our culture has been tucked in, put to sleep. But, no matter how much polish is applied, no matter how clean they try to make it, there will always be danger in the city.
What we’ve learned from this big change is that existing in an affluent society can feel just as oppressive as living in a disadvantaged society, especially if one doesn’t fit certain criteria of the dominating class. Rock ‘n roll has always reflected disgruntled youth and its rockers often create sounds that are mimetic of their inner state–what is experienced in the day-to-day.
For their first release, rightly named Mass Hysteria, Spiritual Cramp relates this state of unease in a seemingly at ease system. The sounds borrow from the past, echoes of late 70’s, early 80’s working class rock ‘n roll / punk, which function on the upbeat, showcasing very bright guitars, yet generating darker vocal rhythms, darker patterning.
Punk music and its sensibilities are all exemplified here, just as much in the visual as in the beat. “Violence keeps me up at night,” Vocalist, Michael Bingham repeats. And later, “My friends are alright.” Much of their inspiration has stemmed from UK77, Reggae Music, DIY/ hardcore / punk culture and ethics. Most of all from artist friends in the Bay Area and simple objects we find in the streets: a broken TV, telephone wires, that seemingly unimbued message that’s written on the wall. These quieter, more subdued artifacts somehow seem to say a lot about our experience, but when taking on this music, there is an urgency that portrays life in the city, life as a punk, life as of now.”
Canterbury emo/alt-rockers, THE YOUNG HEARTS have premiered their new music video, ‘Medicine’. The track, inspired by growing up and losing touch is taken from the bands new EP, ‘Honestly, I’m Just Thinking’, which is out now through Primordial Records.
Pasadena based record label Pure Noise Records is proud to announce the signing of the critically praised Albany bred punk rock band DRUG CHURCH! The five-piece joins the label’s flourishing family of bands that includes Boston Manor, Four Year Strong, Knocked Loose and The Story So Far among others. In celebration of the signing news, Drug Church debut a brand-new single called, “Weed Pin.” Listen now here.
“Drug Church is proud to announce it’s birthed another alt-rock classic in the form of the new single “Weed Pin.” The track is a mid-tempo monster jam about being unhireable. Recorded with Jon Markson, “Weed Pin” is a taste of what listeners will be getting on the band’s first LP from Pure Noise Records.” – Patrick Kindlon (vocals)
Florida power-pop natives, YOU VANDAL, have released another single from their upcoming album, I Just Want to Go Back to Hell. You can stream the lyric video for “Sorry” below. FFO: Saves the Day, All-American Rejects, and New Found Glory.
You Vandal are a power-pop quartet from the swamps of Gainesville, FL. While Gainesville is typically known for its brand of gruff punk associated with No Idea Records, You Vandal takes the best parts of punk and pop-rock and delivers the antithesis; songs full of melodies, and well polished vocals begging you to sing-a-long. This band has more in common with New Found Glory than Hot Water Music, but also manage to stay clear of any cringe inducing clichés that come along with the pop-punk genre. Their sophomore release, I Just Want to Go Back to Hell, should have no problem earning a seat at the table with some of the classic albums that have surely influenced You Vandal. Be sure to keep an eye out for multiple US tours and festival appearances throughout the next year in support of I Just Want to Go Back to Hell.
Vienna hardcore heaqvyweights SPIDERCREW have released new single and video called “We Don’t Need You”, coming from their recent record “Sounds Of Hatred 12′ LP”, available via WTF Records and Spook Records.
Spidercrew hailing straight out of Austria’s capital Vienna was formed back in 1999. Featuring members and ex-members of Only Attitude Counts and Bust The Chain and with two raging guys on vocals, Juergen and Sean Inc from New York City, Spider Crew creates an exciting mix of (New York) hardcore and streetpunk full of energy and rage against authority.
LA based experimental art-punk/deathrock band EGRETS ON ERGOT released their long-awaited, debut album, Surfeit of Gemütlich, today with Cleopatra Records. Today, the band has premiered the video for the track “Sister, Please.”. Egrets On Ergot’s sound has been described as versatile, from moody, gothy art-punk to funky rhythmic, pseudo-no wave with a smattering of industrial clamor. They have a self-released EP, Serve Us Tender, and the newly released 11 track LP, Surfeit of Gemütlich, with their new label Cleopatra Records. Alt indie rock act CASPER SKULLS‘ Mercy Works LP is out today on Buzz Records, and to mark the release the band are premiering the video for the album’s single “Lingua Franca” with Billboard. The song was featured on an episode of NPR’s All Songs Considered this week, and has garnered praise, along with the rest of the LP, from outlets like Noisey, FADER and Consequences of Sound.
The song traces the breakdown of communication in a relationship with a subtle sense of grandeur, abetted by a string quartet, and features co-lead vocalist Melanie St. Pierre, who elaborates on the creative process behind the song and the video to Billboard:
“‘Lingua Franca’ by definition is a common language spoken between two people whose native languages are different. Communication is the cause of a lot of friction in relationships and often once the communication is lost so is the bond between people. I think when we were working on the song we wanted it to sound different depending on the listener. I think it can be heard as both a breakup song or a song about the grey areas in a relationship.”
Brisbane’s unbearable experimental noise machine Bfffth has soundtracked the impending apocalypse. His newest nightmarish offering is streaming now via Confusion Specialist Records.

Alt rock project GHOST ATLAS (AKA Jesse from ERRA) just premiered a new music video from his upcoming album over at Kerrang! Magazine if you wanted to check it out. The track is called “NightDrive” and it’s meant to be a statement against vanity, inspired by the somewhat delusional personalities he’s found in places like LA.
Jesse Cash is primarily known for his role in the Sumarian Records metalcore band ERRA, but there is a melodic, alt-rock side to his writing and it can be heard in the form of his solo project dubbed Ghost Atlas.
Chicago punk rock dads THE DWARVES have premiered a new song “Here’s looking At You”, coming from their new Julio EP, coming up on November 17 via Riot Style.
Throughout their career, the Dwarves have built a unique station for themselves by assuming the mask of society’s less desirables. On “Drug Store” they examined the glee of a fresh score from the eyes of a strung-out wastoid. On “Pimp,” vocalist Blag Dahlia assumed the rule of a fur-coated creep and explained things from the Tenderloin perspective. “Wake Up and Get High with Me” told the story of tweaker at the end of his rope who doesn’t realize it.
“Here’s Looking at You” follows in these hallowed footsteps and the song really speaks for itself. The band boldly goes where they haven’t gone before, and let me tell you, it’s a dark place, indeed. In venturing into these unseemly territories, the band seems to ask the question- does every human deserve to be treated humanely, no matter how twisted they are? / PunkNews.org
