Stormo are an Italian hardcore band whose records have repeatedly moved through screamo, post-hardcore, math-rock tension and heavier experimental writing. Their own Bandcamp currently describes the project through loudness, noise and distortion, while the release history shows a band that has kept changing shape across more than a decade.
IDIOTEQ has followed those changes for years. We covered “Lama” in 2018 and “Finis Terrae” in 2019, when the band were still being presented through a more direct hardcore lens. By “Alte Mura” in 2024, post-hardcore had become a clearer part of the vocabulary.
The fifth album “Tagli/Talee”, released in March 2025, gave that evolution its clearest recent document, with the band’s own tags spanning punk, crust punk, hardcore punk, math rock, metal and screamo. Stormo then appeared in our Rites of Spring Fest 2026 coverage, placing them inside the current European network where hardcore, screamo and emo continue to overlap.
