Born Losers Records is an independent Philadelphia label focused on vinyl and tape releases. The label describes its approach simply as “something for everyone”.

Philadelphia band Wax Jaw brought garage punk and queer rage into one part of the catalogue. Soft Kill arrived through post-punk, while Cathedral Bells connected dream pop, shoegaze and post-punk. Korine added a new-wave release to that spread.

Born Losers also appeared directly in our 2025 feature on tariffs and independent labels, discussing the practical economics of pressing and selling physical records.
