Michigan metallized hardcore act WOUNDED TOUCH grapple with grief and loss on their striking debut EP

Smartpunk Records is an independent Orlando label that grew out of the wider Smartpunk distro and vinyl operation. The label began in 2016 by reissuing records that were out of print or had never appeared on vinyl, then expanded into signing and developing current bands while continuing its physical-media focus.

IDIOTEQ told that story directly in our 2024 feature with label manager Matt Burns. Virginity brought punk rock into the coverage. Suffocate Faster brought straight-edge hardcore, while Wounded Touch pushed into heavier metalcore.

The 2025 and 2026 run includes Sainthood Reps. A Static Lullaby revisited their 2003 debut. New Jersey emo-punk band 3 Dollars released “Plus Tax” through Smartpunk Records on 10 July 2026.
