Wisconsin screamo band SOLVALOU premiere “Our Home Breathes”, new EP coming up

1 min read

Let’s kick this week off with a shoutout to Zegema Beach Records and Tomb Tree Tapes, being the cool aunt or uncle of the screamo label world — always showing up with the most epic gifts you didn’t even know you needed. This time, they’re rolling up with something special from SOLVALOU. Pulling talent from the ranks of MALEVICH, UNDER A SKY SO BLUE, and RIOTNINE, they’re dropping their debut EP, “Solvalou,” on March 5th, 2024, with Tomb Tree, and today we have the first listen of their new track “Our Home Breathes“!

The band’s pedigree speaks volumes of what they’re capable of delivering. And deliver they do, with four tracks that are nothing short of cathartic. These initial offerings are a multi-vocal, engaging scream fest that grabs you by the soul and refuses to let go.

“Our Home Breathes” showcases just what SOLVALOU is all about. Within just over two minutes, the track unfolds an array of emotions so intense that you might think the journey’s over too soon. But that’s the beauty of it; you’re only at the halfway point, and your screamo, post-hardcore, and emocore-hungry heart is already satiated. Yet, there’s more.

The track seamlessly weaves in elements that will undoubtedly resonate with post-rock aficionados, making it a compelling preview of the EP to come.
