HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS continue to honor their legacy in the emo and post-hardcore scene with their newly released EP, featuring newly rework of their song “Sandpaper and Silk“.
Out today, this six-track collection offers a fresh take on some of their most iconic songs from The Silence in Black and White—celebrating 20 years since its release. The title track “Sandpaper and Silk”, similar to previously releases new renditions, serves a modern reimagining that pays homage to the band’s roots while showcasing crisp, revitalized production.
The odl tracks have been carefully reworked, creating a dynamic balance between nostalgia and innovation. Fans of the emo and alternative rock genres will appreciate how these new arrangements breathe life into the melodies and lyrics that shaped a generation.
The new EP also features their new song “Gold Econoline“.
The band is also gearing up for their “20 Years of Tears” tour, kicking off in February 2025, featuring co-headliners THURSDAY, SAOSIN, and ANBERLIN, with additional appearances by I SEE STARS, CARTEL, and ARMOR FOR SLEEP on select dates. This massive tour will see HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS performing across the U.S., stopping at iconic venues like The Wiltern in Los Angeles, Webster Hall in New York City, and The Fillmore in Charlotte.
