โHardcore music has been instrumental in my life and Iโm excited about getting on stage with Gavin again,โ says Burn frontman Chaka Malik. โMuch respect to the folks at Black and Blue for the work theyโve been doing. Keeping a viable platform for bands and people in the culture to experience whatโs been a big part of many of our lives is really important. The old Ritz is a fitting venue for Burn to bring the energy we were known for in the past.โ
Says Burn guitarist Gavin Van Vlack: โWeโve been approached to do this for well over a decade and it never felt like it was the right time. Finally the stars have aligned at a time when it all feels so right; where the pure desire that Chaka and I have to play these songs has come to fruit. Itโs an honor to work with Black N Blue as wellโtheyโve put so much blood and sweat into supporting this culture of ours. Excited would be a massive understatement about how I feel about doing this.โ

Black’n’Blue Productions team caught up with Candiria guitarist John LaMacchia, who had this to say about their appearance at this years BNB Bowl:
โThe band is extremely excited that this is finally happening. Candiria has been asked to play the Black and Blue Bowl every year for the past four or so and each year weโve been bummed that weโve had to say no for one reason or another. They always put together such a great lineup and weโve always wanted to be a part of it. ย Now the band is back together and we couldnโt think of a better way to kick things off than to share the stage with some great bands at the BnB Bowl this May.โ
