FLESHWORLD channel their devastating sludge post metal / hardcore sounds through the interior of Forum hotel in Cracow

January 20, 2021
1 min read

Polish post metallic sludge hardcore band FLESHWORLD recently took their powerful sounds of to the Cracow based Forum Hotel and served a brilliant showcase of their dark art as part of Eurosonic festival 2021. ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag) is a non-profit, European artists only, 100% showcase festival and music conference. ESNS is the key exchange and networking platform for European music, with a proven track record for helping new acts break into the international music scene.

“Hotel Forum has been pretty much a natural choice for this performance.” – says the band. “We wanted a place that’s simultaneously familiar and mysterious. It’s simply just there, looking overwhelming and we’ve rarely had a chance to “sightsee” inside. It’s a place that evokes many conflicting emotions – something that we also want to do with our music.”

Asked about their take on 2020 and the band’s perspective for 2021, they admit that 2020 was rough for all of them, but they are lucky to have been playing and making music at all. “The extra time and the lack of need to prepare for live shows has allowed us to hang back and concentrate on new stuff.”

“All our “groundbreaking” shows have been postponed. We still don’t know if they’ll all take place this year or if they’ll be postponed again, but at least we’re in a good, creative mindset at the moment, slightly changing things up again.”
