When we started this band in September 2016, we were 3 guys who wanted to make some heavy music. Now, almost a year and a half later we are a solid 5 piece who have already achieved more than we set out to do. Along the way we have become more focused and driven. For this reason, we don’t feel like the same band we started out as and we feel like we have also out-grown the name. Therefore, we are happy to announce that from now onwards we will be known as MASS WORSHIP.
We’re currently working hard on our debut full length and there’s a couple of exciting announcements coming up soon, but in the meantime we want to share a new track we’ve been working on. Thank you all for your continued support. Press HD for full quality streaming.

German thrashy crossover hardcore punks BRONSON A.D. (Bastardized Recordings) have premiered a new video for their song “Horrortrip”, taken from their upcoming album “Warpath“, out on 2nd February 2018.
After two ep’s and some compilations, it’s time for BRONSON A.D., to put their aggressive mix of thrashmetal and hardcore on a full-length album. Their sound, mainly influenced by 90’s thrashmetal and NYHC, keeps headbangers as well as mosh-kids moving the pit. They produced and recorded their album WARPATH in the DESERT INN STUDIO, where bands like MILKING THE GOATMACHINE and LAY DOWN ROTTEN also produce their records. WARPATH isn’t only the name of the record, it’s the concept. BRONSON A.D. are pointing out everything what makes their blood boil. Nazis, enforcement of the society, abuse and the public guilt on the misery of others, are just a few topics for them to go on the warpath. The artwork was done by ROUGH SHOT PRODUCTIONS, who have already worked with bands like HESSAJA, BLOODSPOT, PLAQUEBOURNE and others. Ten tracks, you have to get in February 2018, when WARPATH will be released. For fans of MERAUDER, CRO-MAGS, RYKER’S, NAILBOMB

Texan punks THE COPS premiere new single ‘Hot Pursuit’; Confirm details for Record Release Party next month; Stream and share new single ‘Hot Pursuit’ by The COPS at this location.
Formed in the Fall of 2016 by members of bands from Houston’s thriving punk rock scene, straight off the night stick it’s worth observing that not only do The COPS dress like police officers when performing live, they actually sing about the system. As tracks like ‘Homicide’ channel the speed freak punk guitar play of The Briefs and Electric Frankenstein, ‘Life On The Beat’ proves itself to be a mean, municipal anthem in-waiting, that sits perversely amidst a throng of Minor Threat, Hot Snakes and Pissed Jeans-loving reprobates.

Slovenian independent label Moonlee Records recently co-released ‘Sunčani ljudi’ (Sunny People), the 3rd album by the Croatian amazons, psych dreamy experimental post rockers ŽEN, who in recent years have performed at many major European festivals (Europavox, Colours of Ostrava, Tallinn Music Week, INmusic, MENT Ljubljana, Welcome to the Village) and clubs. The record comes as a manifest of their passion for meticulously intertwined genre tropes – from hypnotic repetitions of post rock to atmospheric guitar layering in the vein of shoegaze, all characterized by a genuine openness to experimentation and infused with a heartfelt vocal delivery typical of 90s alt rock. According to many prominent music media outlets, this all-girl audio-visual collective is one of the most salient guitar bands of the Balkan region. Listen below and catch them on their European tour HERE.
“Onstage, the band played with a subtlety that tempered the high expectations, drawing me in with songs that had a beautiful ebb and flow, with layers of noise and melody, precision playing, and unexpected chord changes and progressions.” (Kevin Cole, KEXP)

(John Robb, Louder Than War)– “…powerful post-rock release” (The Needle Drop)
– “Žen […] were not just the best things we saw at Tallinn Music Week, they are two of the most enticing acts we’ve come across this year.” (The Line of Best Fit)
Horror-obsessed, underground cult ILSA weaves together tales of depravity and devil worship on their Relapse debut Corpse Fortress. Recorded by Kevin Bernsten (Full Of Hell, Code Orange, Magrudergrind, Integrity) in Baltimore, Maryland at Developing Nations, Corpse Fortress delivers nine tracks forged in filth with dense layers of emotionally draining sludge, murky, primordial doom, and feedback-laden, crusty death metal. Corpse Fortress is easily the rawest, most abhorrent, and nasty album in ILSA’s decade-long career and the perfect soundtrack for the initiated miscreants of this rapidly dying orb. Stream ILSA’s new track “Hikikomori” below.
Brooklyn band NETHERLANDS reveals details of its upcoming, fourth release: new EP Hope Porn, out February 9th on Records and Tapes Records. Stream new track “Negative Likes,” from Hope Porn, HERE.
Led by prolific musician Timo Ellis, whose decades in the New York scene have featured collaborations with Yoko Ono, Cibo Matto, and many more, Netherlands is a singular force. New EP Hope Porn cements the style that has been in the works since the band’s 2011 debut: euphoric choruses and brain-rattling psychedelic freakouts soar above a violently grooving rhythm section.
Transcending Obscurity Records is proud to welcome the ambitious death metal band of Ralf Hauber (Revel In Flesh) and Jonny Pettersson (Wombbath, Henry Kane, Ursinne) called HEADS FOR THE DEAD to its family. Croatian Prog-Rock Trio THEM MOOSE RUSH Pick Their Noise on New Album; Share Video for New Track ‘Radio Violence’; Don’t Pick Your Noise by Them Moose Rush is released worldwide on 9th March 2018 through TMR Records! Watch the new video below.
Hailing from the city of Bjelovar in Croatia, Them Moose Rush are a progressive rock band unlike any other. Working in a genre often fuelled by pomp and circumstance the Eastern European trio have always done things for themselves, and in doing so, done it all inimitably. From directing their own music videos to producing their own photographs, the band even has a penchant for hiding cyphers in songs via Morse codes on keyboards and palindrome/semordnilap messages. And away from the devil in the detail, they simply rock harder and faster than anyone else.
Combining vintage vibes which play dutifully with the blues and heavy rock, their approach to song writing and production bursts with innovation. Much like 2013’s To Future Miss Sunshine, their second full-length album Don’t Pick Your Noise pushes riff after chaotic riff in an attempt to challenge listeners’ perceptions of what a rock and roll trio is truly capable of.
Indie-rock project SPEAK LOW IF YOU SPEAK LOVE debut a brand new single “Safety Net”. The track is featured on the band’s forthcoming, sophomore album “Nearsighted” with Pure Noise Records on January 19th.

“Nearsighted” will be the second, full-length album from Speak Low If You Speak Love, following Graham’s debut record “Everything But What You Need”, which was released in 2015 by Pure Noise Records. Toy Car’s debut full length Paint Brain is set to be released on January 12th. Pre-orders are available now. The band has also recently released the music video for their single “Cold” via The Alternative. The Alternative says, “‘Cold’ explodes with emotional brevity and bright guitars, reeling in the sound of reflective nights with a song that wants to be the cold.”
Toy Cars is an indie rock band from Asbury Park, NJ whose music is a dynamic and unique blend of Americana and Emo, coupled with introspective lyrics. Formed in 2014, originally intended to be a side project for vocalist/guitarist Matt Debenedetti. The band self recorded and released small batches of music with a rotating cast of members. In 2016 a more permanent lineup formed, consisting of Mike Linardi on drums, Matt Caponegro on guitar and Chris Beninato on bass. They went on to release 2016’s Sleeping Patterns through Massachusetts independent label Counter Intuitive Records, which prompted frequent touring of the eastern U.S. Their debut full length record Paint Brain is expected on January 12th, 2018, which will be self released and funded by the band. Paint Brain is an album inspired by the ever present struggle of finding joy in the lulls of life. It’s an introspective, journal-like record that examines patience, personal growth, and finding happiness within your community.
There are tons of geart records we covered last year on IDIOTEQ and they are surely thousands of undiscovered pearls that we have sadly missed. Berlin’s dark noise pop / alt rock act HOPE and their October debut LP on Haldern Pop Recordings was certainly one of them. HOPE deliver an intense, very atmopsheric amalgam of bleakness and artsy songwriting that results in a one hell of an adventure. Listen a teaser track below and be sure to catch them live on tour later this month and later this year. GO HERE to see the dates.
„A new, angrier Zeitgeist“ – Louder Than War
„The invention of a new German way to sing in English“ – Zeit Online
„This is a band fighting itself into life“ – Spex
„An elaborate, accessible and relevant album that leaves you wondering about the opposing forces inside yourself.“ – Nothing but Hope and Passion
Hope are in the Black Phase. Everything around them is obscured. Every lyric and every spark of music, every photograph and every recording is drenched in black.
It’s not the black of Wave or Gothic bands, but the unpretentious black of Portishead or Talk Talk. A black arising from a wound and at the same time covering the wound, burying it. A scab.
A black letting you forget the Jazz, the academics, and the provinces that Hope has come from. In Germany, Jazz, academics and the provinces are very close, and Hope had to live through most painful experiences, play many unnoticed concerts, and remain unloved to find the love for themselves and their music.
Only this explains the dark stringency and consequence of their self-titled debut album (produced by Olaf Opal), featuring monolithic songs like CELL, KINGDOM and RAW. Songs, sounding rather like dystopic infinity than a light-hearted debut album. Songs, compressed to one word, as if the listener should not waste any time with reading, but start listening. Listen and dive into the endless Hope wave of sound, vehemence and black.
And yes, during all of this, the iconic singer Christine Börsch-Supan is naked. We can only guess her contours – it is too dark.
Take This To Heart Records is beyond stoked to announce that they get to team up with the lovely Triple Crown Records (Sorority Noise, Foxing) to bring you a brand new split 12″ between two Ohio natives in McCafferty and HEART ATTACK MAN. To kick off this announcement our friends at Alternative Press are streaming McCafferty’s song “Finally” which leans towards a more alternative rock vibe. Listen below and GO HERE too see their live dates.
Ohio’s McCafferty began as most good earworms should: melodies looped into and blended with pop-rock backbeats, a knack for urgent relatability, and a dedication to capturing a universal feeling. McCafferty edges on the quirky emo/rock of The Weakerthans or Rozwell Kid. We released their last album “Thanks. Sorry. Sure” on June 30th.
Also from Ohio, Heart Attack Man originally started as a solo recording project for singer/guitarist Eric Egan in 2013. Driven by an engrained appreciation for addictive melodies and hard hitting alternative rock, the project quickly evolved into a full band. Shortly after the EP Acid Rain was released the band hit the road playing throughout the US and Canada. Ready to record more the band headed to Philadelphia and began recording Ian Farmer from Modern Baseball at Headroom Studios. The result is band’s debut full length The Manson Family, which is available through Triple Crown Records.

Minsk, Belarus based alt post metal prog rockers WEESP have shared a new single and music video called “Illumination“. This is the first music video and first release by the band since 2015, and it kicks ass so you don’t want to miss the ship under black sails! The band stated that new album will have different, surprising and powerful sound that will contain the old vibes but at the same time some unexpected add-ons in terms of instruments and vocals. And ‘illumination’, being the first track from the album, totally proves these words. Bursting with new inspiration and direction, “Illumination” is the triumphant sound of a band that’s ready to unroll their craft to the masses.
Pop punk rockers SEAWAY have today released a video for ‘London’, taken from their excellent new album ‘Vacation’ which was released via Pure Noise Records.
Formed in 2011, SEAWAY is Ryan Locke (vocals), Patrick Carleton (guitar, vocals), Ken Taylor (drums), Adam Shoji (bass), and Andrew Eichinger (guitar). The band has become known for their highly infectious brand of pop punk – one that strikes the perfect balance between the two styles and recalls a time when the genre centred on having fun.
SEAWAY released their debut album “Hoser” in 2013. The following year, the five Canucks signed to Pure Noise Records to release their follow up EP, “All In My Head”. Their sophomore full length “Colour Blind” was released in 2015 via Pure Noise Records following an entire summer on the Vans Warped Tour.
Melodic-hardcore band WITHERED BONES have dropped their new music video for “Rotten Thoughts.” The song is taken from the band’s new studio album, In Search Of Self-Evidence, which was released on Blood & Ink Records in December. The band has also announced their first run of tour dates in 2018. They will be joined by fellow Arizona natives ARM’S REACH. You can check out a full list of dates and locations HERE. WITHERED BONES released their latest studio album, In Search Of Self-Evidence, in December on Blood & Ink Records. (Copies are available for purchase in the label’s webstore.) The band has also been gaining traction on Spotify with their song “A Vice’s Grip,” which has garnered just under 15,000 streams and put the band at over 10,000 current monthly listeners.
Massachusetts indie artist Kal Marks are sharing their latest single “Today I Walked Down To The Tree, Read A Book, And When I Was Done, I Went Back Inside,” the gorgeous finale to their upcoming album Universal Care. FLOOD Magazine premiered the song, shared, “Despite vocalist Carl Shane’s frequent lapse into Black-Franciscan snarls throughout Care, “Today I Walked…” proves an apt handle for the climax to this profoundly bored apocalypse: When the music lilts, swells, then pummels, Shane remains unflapped, delivering each line with a matter-of-fact recitation. It’s heavy, bleak, and oddly cathartic.
Universal Care is about asking questions and seeking answers during a tumultuous time for the band and the world. The future of the band was unclear following their last album, and Universal Care is a response to those strange and uncertain times. Recorded in Boston’s Mad Oak Studios with Miranda Serra G and mastered by James Plotkin (Old Man Gloom, Windhand, Thou), it’s a heavy record that spans the spectrum of Kal Marks’ dynamic sound from hazy folk to blistering noise rock, a reflection of Carl Shane’s (guitar/vocals) spirit and emotions. The album is a reaction to the death of a close friend, but it’s also a reflection of the seriously dark times in our country. The band are baring their souls and taking chances, creating their most compelling album in the process.
