The editor-in-chief commented:

“Hello, and welcome to issue 42 of Stencil Mag! This issue is absolutely crammed! So let me try and give you a backbone of what to expect…

Once again Slam Dunk Festival is taking on Hatfield, Leeds and Birmingham! With its absolutely ridiculous and diverse line-up then we have no doubt that most fans will be spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding what to watch on the day! So in this issue you can of course expect interviews with a stack of bands appearing at this years event, including Beartooth, Less Than Jake Reel Big Fish, Mad Caddies, We Are The Ocean, We The Kings, The Movielife, Decade, Black Foxxes, who will all get you up to date with their world whilst of course getting you pumped up for this years Slam Dunk!

Our main feature comes from the mighty Papa Roach! Who are back to share one of their most raw albums to date under the name of ‘Crooked Teeth’. The release sees the band working with Nicholas Furlong and Colin Brittain, these upcoming producers have listened to the band since the days of ‘Infest’ and by having that perspective they have contributed an interesting angle to the album. With its musical and lyrical input, the band have just not held back on this release. It’s a ride from the start to the finish! So get involved and discover one of the coolest albums of 2017!

We were fortunate enough to visit Walker Stalker Con this year to once again see just how influential The Walking Dead has become! The best thing about events like this is the positive impact it has on those in attendance, just like music it’s a community where fans meet new friends who are into the same things as them, and for the guests they get to have people come up to them who are inspired in their life with who they are, and how they are on TV. It really is amazing to witness, and be a part of something like that. This year we got to talk with – Charlie Adlard, Katelyn Nacon, Steven Ogg, Alexandra Breckenridge, Irone Singleton, Xander Berkeley who all tell us about their incredible experiences on this huge show.

Also, in response to the recent attacks in London here’s a quote from Bob Marley when he played a show a couple of days after being attacked: “The people who were trying to make this world worse are not taking the day off. Why should I?” don’t let fear stop you living your life the way you wanted, because the day that happens is the day they win.

See you in May!”
