Stencil Magazine #26

1 min read

Stencil is an online music magazine taking wide scope in featuring rock artists of all different styles, mainly focusing on punk rock and its several subgenres. As always, the newest issue features a range of interviews, reviews, and news stories worth checking out. Considering the current state of the press, I am still amazed that this great read is available at no cost, and tremendously appreciate it. Scroll down to find out why.

Read the editor’s note for the issue and launch the full magazine below! It features interviews from RISE AGAINSTFOUR YEAR STRONGTHE WORD ALIVEIN FLAMESLOWER THAN ATLANTISTWIN ATLANTICDEAF HAVANAFINCHPENNYWISEANBERLIN, BEARTOOTH,WOVENWARTEXAS IN JULYME VS HERO, TO THE WINDCANDY HEARTSFOOD OF REDLONELY THE BRAVEJohn Murphy, and Cris Velasco!

“So here we are in the prime of summer, and with some of the biggest releases & events of the season still ahead of us, Stencil Mag is here to tell you all about them!

As usual we have a whole bunch of bands for you to get updated on and discover. From the upcoming Flood of Red who discuss their electric new album ‘Throw’, to Anberlin who tell us all about their final record ‘Lowborn’ (we are going to miss these guys!). Our main feature comes from Rise Against who tell us all about their chart topping new album ‘The Black Market’ which sees them continue their success!

We have a massive feature on Reading/Leeds Festival in this issue, as our writers put together a list of epic acts that they think should be on your ones to watch list for the weekend! We also have interviews with Finch & Texas In July who are taking on this years Hevy Fest, and if you’re heading to the event, then these are interviews that you won’t want to miss out on!

We have a new section of the magazine in this issue where we pit two of our writers against each other as they pick their number one Bring Me The Horizon album and tell us why they’ve chosen that release! So check that out, and have a think about which album you’d go for!

In our features section we are joined by John Murphy who has worked on the soundtrack for huge films such as: Kick-Ass, Sunshine, 28 Weeks Later and MANY more! It’s also been a while since we’ve had a game composer in the magazine so you’ll certainly want to check out our interview with Cris Velasco as he has worked on some huge franchises including God of War & Borderlands!”
