Suggestions
Experimental music is a broad field built around changing the normal rules of composition, performance or sound. In New York in 1950 and 1951, John Cage, Earle Brown, Morton Feldman and Christian Wolff helped formalise one influential strand of experimental music. Electronic, electroacoustic and concrete music later widened the available sound sources and recording processes.
Maulén spent 30 days in 2022 recording across Moroccan villages and towns, and shaped the results into one unbroken 57-minute piece in four movements.
