à La Carte Records began in 2020 as an independent record collective based between California and Washington, DC. Its official description names post-punk, darkwave, shoegaze and synth-pop among the styles in its catalogue.
One of the clearest IDIOTEQ threads runs through The True Faith. We covered the band during the build toward their debut album with “Gestalt”, then again as “Go To Ground” showed their songwriting changing. Texas trio Don’t Get Lemon connected with the label near the start of its run and remained part of the catalogue years later, including the 2026 single “Matrimony”.
