Suggestions
Demersal are a Danish hardcore/screamo band based in Copenhagen and Odense. The band describe their own music through chaotic, expressive hardcore and melancholic post-rock, which helps explain why their releases often sit between screamo, emoviolence and darker, more spacious writing.
IDIOTEQ’s archive follows that development closely. In 2021 we covered “To Decorate The End”, the split with Regarding Ambiguity and the EP “Death Routines”. A 2022 four-way split pushed further into emoviolence, followed by “Androide Identiteter” and the self-titled album in 2024.
“Intet Formår” and “Vi kunne ikke blive her for evigt, vel?” arrived in 2025, followed by “Som Sendt Fra Himlen” in 2026. Their appearance in our New Friends Fest 2026 feature places them inside a current international screamo network.
