Die Young are a Texas hardcore band whose original run lasted from 2002 to 2009 before the group returned in 2013. Their catalogue moves through hardcore, metallic hardcore and metalcore, with political and ethical concerns recurring alongside the heavier guitar writing.
IDIOTEQ documented much of the second run. A 2016 interview with Daniel Albaugh arrived during the “No Illusions” period, and the album followed here in full. “Mortal/Eternal” added female vocals to the band’s thrashing hardcore, while the 2018 EP “The God For Which We Suffer” kept the metallic side in front.
The group is active again in 2026. Their official Bandcamp lists new releases including “Universal Sin” and a split with Liberty & Justice, while IDIOTEQ covered their version of Nausea’s “Clutches”. That cover also brings the older political punk influence back into view inside the band’s current metallic hardcore approach.
