Refuse Records is a long-running Polish hardcore label closely tied to DIY hardcore and straight edge in Poland and the wider European scene. The project started in 1993 with tape distribution and was connected with Warsaw show organising by the following year, before growing into an international catalogue and network.
Our 2012 interview with Refuse Records covers the early distribution years and the label’s DIY approach. The 25th anniversary interview returned to the 1993 launch, international releases, shows and scene work, and the Warsaw anniversary feature documented that history in its local setting. A later conversation around Refuse’s 200th release used Złodzieje Rowerów to look back across another long section of the catalogue.
The label is still appearing in new pieces. In 2026 KLĄTWA connected Refuse with a new Warsaw hardcore band, while SPLIN brought in Bielsko-Biała DIY and youth crew history. Modern Guilt, Anti-Corpos and the GO! reissue show the label moving between current bands, reissues, political punk and older international hardcore.
